Ultrasound

So our guess was right! It's a boy! Nate and I are so excited. He keeps just saying he was positive it was a boy and the ultrasound just confirmed it :) So our baby will be Aiden Matthew Tadje. I have loved the name Aiden for a long time, and when we found out it means "Little Fire," we thought it would be perfect for our baby - who could very possibly have red hair after Nate.

Our experience at the doctor's office was interesting though. We were supposed to have an ultra sound at 3:30, but when we got there, they said they just scheduled it for a normal appointment and didn't schedule the room with the ultrasound. So we had to wait a very long time to get into the room. Once we were there the ultrasound began. Dr. Ollerton gave it and he was a very nice doctor (I had never met him before). Everything looked just great! He quickly looked at the baby's legs to see if it could be a boy or girl and he said he couldn't quite tell because the legs were too close together, but he thought it was a boy. So after about 20 minutes of that ultrasound, he got a knock at the door and was rushed out to Labor and Delivery. So then Dr. Lind came who is another great doctor. He didn't know where Dr. Ollerton left off, so he did the whole ultrasound again. Which we didn't mind because we got to go through everything twice. Everything looked great. He originally said he thought the baby was a girl, but couldn't tell because the baby's legs were so close together. Anyway, he checked everything else out, he went back to check the gender for sure, the legs were open and it is definitely a boy! He printed out the picture of the moment we knew it was a boy. We can't wait to show our son someday because it is very funny. Aiden was hiding his little face though so we have to go back in two weeks to make sure everything is fine there. The doctor also has to check his kidneys again because he had an excess amount of urine in there. He said usually that corrects by itself, but he wants to double check. Anyway, that's that. We are having a boy! My mom made us a boy receiving blanket earlier today too and she crocheted a beautiful white blanket for him too. Now we can start getting ready for his arrival!
