Our week has been unique. Lets just say our patience has been tested - a lot. And sorry this post is so long, I understand if you get bored part way through and stop reading. I write it to remember some of the major things going on in our lives so when I update our journal, I will remember all of this stuff. Last week seemed to go by just great. On Monday, our cute niece was born. On Tuesday, Nate had a basketball game and he played like a pro. On Thursday (Valentine's Day), Nate and I had such a fun day together! I woke up really early (cause Nate has to leave by 7:00 am) and I made him breakfast. That rarely happens because I am not a morning person or huge breakfast eater. I much rather make dinner. Then we both went off to work and school. Nate had to take a test at night so I was just thinking it would be a regular day - busy Nate and Sarah. Then I was at work and Nate and I just talk online all day and he told me to go home and just relax cause it's Valentine's Day. I kept insisting that I was just fine working and he kept hinting at me to go home (I am a little slow sometimes). So finally he convinced me and I went home and walked in and on our kitchen table there were beautiful flowers, a card, and another Willow Tree! Nate knows I just love Willow tree. This one is titled, "Thinking of You"...it's so beautiful :) So I was very surprised cause we talked about how we weren't going to get anything for each other cause we already knew we loved each other, but I should have known Nate better than that! He gave me a funny card too. We always have a good time picking out cards for each other for Valentine's Day and days like that. So then Nate showed up at home! I was so confused cause I knew Nate had work for a few more hours and then a test. I was bummed at first thinking I'd have to be alone for a few hours while Nate finished up what he had to do. But he told me he took time off work earlier and already took his test and then he took the rest of the day off. I was so happy he changed his busy schedule for me! So we hung out for a while, went up to the Tadje's to visit the Johnston's cause they were in town, and then went home and watched RADIO, which is SUCH a good movie!! I bawled, of course, which Nate gets a kick out of. We had a good time visiting the Johnston's again though. They came up from Texas for Nate J.'s brothers wedding so they were here the entire week. Carolyn in having her fifth baby in April, so we had more pregnant people around! She's having a girl this time, so she brought a TON of her baby boy clothes from her last three kids for me to look through for Aiden. She has such cute clothes so I had a great time finding some cute outfits and onesies for our boy. That weekend Jared and his four boys came into town so we spent more time with all of the Tadjes. It was so fun to have so many people there! And with a lot of the Tadje grandkids there, we were definitely entertained! So everything was going great. We didn't have school on Monday either so I went maternity shopping with Samantha for a big part of the day and then went to see JUMPER with my mom, sister, and brother after that.
Then, it seemed like all heck broke loose. Nate decided to change the spark plugs on the white CAM CAM on Saturday. Because they hadn't been changed in a while, some rubber piece fell off and Nate couldn't reach it to get it out. To make a VERY long story short, Nate finally got it out and rewired the plugs. Then when he started the car, it was making a really weird sound. Nate thought something must have dropped inside the piston or something so he spent a great deal of his time trying to figure out what it could be and get it out. We couldn't drive the car for a few days which was a pain to just have one car. We both need a car during the day, so Nate had to take time off school to drive me to school and pick me up. We got to spend more time together during the day which was nice, but still hard to manage our schedules together. In the end, he found out that nothing was wrong at all, he just simply put the wrong wire in the wrong place by accident. So once we fixed it, the car was finally good to go again! That was the first thing.
Then, I came down with an awful cold. I actually still have it as I type this. It's one of those head colds that make you think your head might pop. This cold comes with a running nose, sore throat, and a big headache. And because I am pregnant, I don't take any medication for it. So I've been suffering through it. I hope it goes away soon!
Then on Wednesday, when I got home from school, Nate was home and said our condo was freezing. He said the heat hadn't come on for a while and the temperature was really low. After a few hours and being cold, we realized something was definitely wrong with our heat. We really didn't think it couldn't be broken, and if it was we had a warranty on it. We just went to bed that night and decided to worry about it the next day. The next morning, Nate's shower was cold. So after a minute of thinking and talking to my dad on the phone, we realized our gas was off! Why would it be off? We had lived there for a month and always had heat. So Nate called Questar and realized we never switched our gas over into our name since we lived there...so they shut it off! After laughing at our stupidity for not thinking about calling to set up our gas, I drove over to my parent's house to shower for school. Nate and I are naive to what you must do when you are a home owner. We also realized we never had our lights and electricity bill set up in our name, so those would probably be turned off too. You are probably thinking we are so dumb, but when you have everything working alright, you just don't think about it! Anyways, Nate set that up too. So they couldn't come turn our gas on until today (Friday) so after work yesterday, Nate and I just froze in our little place. It was quite the adventure! We thought it was funny. We knew it would be on the next day, so we just wrapped up in blankets and tried to stay warm. Having a cold isn't too fun when you are freezing cold in your own house, but it wasn't too bad. Nate turned on the oven and sat by that to warm up. During the night we were totally fine under our duvet cover, but right when you got up you could feel the cold air. The water was freezing too so Nate boiled water this morning. It was funny...we were camping in our condo! Anyways, Nate just told me that him and Terry just went over there and ripped off the tie on the gas meter and cranked the gas on the outside and once again we have heat!! We are supposed to wait for them to come fix it, but Nate and Terry got their tools and did it themselves. Anyways, that's been our crazy week! We have had to keep doing everything just the same during the whole week too. Nate even had three tests! But luckily it's Friday! We can't wait to go home to our warm house tonight!!

Sounds like you guys had a busy week to say the least! I am glad that everything is working out for you now!
That is so funny that you guys forgot to change the gas bill into your name. When we first moved into our condo we changed all of the bills into our name except somehow we forgot to change the gas bill. Surprisingly we still were getting gas for about 6 months, and then at the end of December the gas company decided to turn off the gas when it was the coldest time of the year. It wasn't very fun for those 2 days while we waited for the gas company to come out and turn it back on.
