Thankful Thursday

So my friend Maddy writes about her Thankful Thursday every week on her blog and I think it is a great idea! Sometimes I get so caught up in the hectic every day things that I forget to think about a few of the simple things I am grateful for. So this week, I am thankful for:

1. My job - since the semester ended, I just go to work everyday and it is always very low-key. My job is ideal - I can choose my own hours and it is never stressful. Plus, there are two other girls that do the same thing as me so I have free time at work occasionally when I can write in my online journal or browse the internet for cute baby things :)

2. Nate and his wonderful work ethic - Nate is not one to get home from work and do nothing. This week after work, we randomly decided that instead of just watching TV (which we both think is usually pretty boring) we would organize all of our "junk" in all the closets in our house. Then after that we wanted to put the wooden letters up in Aiden's room which ended up taking over an hour because we had to center it above the crib, then make sure the letters were evenly spaced and all the same height on the wall. It proved to be quite the ordeal but Nate made it look so great! THEN, last night I got home late from a friend's shower and the dishes were done and the house was spotless. It totally made my day!

3. Keeping in touch with old friends - my mom, Becca, and I went to a baby shower for Anne Dickson (I don't know her last name now), a friend of ours from Florida. It was so fun to catch up with her and her family...and especially Anne's sister Laura who is my age. We were really good friends in elementary and junior high school.

4. Smoothies - I had the best smoothie for breakfast this morning. Strawberry yogurt, and raspberries, and milk. That was all, but it was SO good!

5. Cell phones - what did people do before cell phones?! I think they have become a necessity :)

I love you Sarah - you are such a positive person! Good for you to be thankful for stuff that others complain about (ie work, husbands) you are wonderful! Give Nate a big hug for being so wonderful too!

PS I totally agree, I dont know what I would do without my cell phone!
