Thankful Thursday

There are so many things to be thankful for this week! For Relief Society, we were each given a little notebook to write three things that brought us joy that day. It has really opened my eyes to so many things to be grateful for...more than just the typical answers. I know a lot of people do a gratitude journal which is such a great idea. If you don't have one yet, it's definitely worth taking three minutes to write a few things down. :)

What I'm thankful for this week -
1 - Girl's Days/Nights - On Tuesday, I went to Gardner Village with my three sister-in-laws (Amie, Becca, and Samantha) and my mother-in-law Diane (plus Spencer and Lydia). It was SO enjoyable just to shop around and talk over lunch. It was so fun to spend a whole afternoon with them. Here we are at Archabalds:

2 - My thoughtful hubby - Yesterday, about the time I was supposed to leave work it was raining crazy outside. I work on campus at BYU so I have to park far away and trek into work everyday. Nate was talking to me online and offered to come pick me up and take me to my car so I wouldn't have to walk 10 minutes in the rain. I was sure glad he did cause I was not prepared for the downfall! I thought that was so thoughtful he didn't want me to get all wet!
3 - Flowers - This week, I planted my first flowers ever! (other than planting flowers with my parents when I lived at home) We have two little pots and a longer planter that I have wanted to plant something in and see how it turned out. So Nate and I went to Cook's Nursery and chose some really pretty flowers! We had to choose flowers that could thrive in shade a lot of the time cause our patio is covered, but we found some flowers that work perfectly. Hopefully they don't die now that we are taking care of them :)
4 - Clean home - I love cleanliness! Whenever I have free time I love to tidy up and make our little place look nice and neat. I can be a little OCD about it at times, just ask Nate. But I am grateful we can have a place to live that is sanitary. After looking at Nate's mission pictures of the shower he had to use, I realized how lucky we are.
5 - Babies - They are so cute and innocent. It seems like a lot of babies are being born right now and it makes me so baby hungry for our little guy. Danae and Nathan had their baby Camryn a few months ago, Aaron and Samantha had their baby Lydia, Carolyn and Nate had their baby Madelyn, our neighbors had their baby last week...and more babies are coming! Andrew and Melanie are due soon, Jared and Trina's baby is due around the same time, and my friend Stephanie is having a baby a couple of weeks after us! Our little baby is going to have 5 cousins right around his own age - two on my side and three on Nate's. What a blessing it is all these babies are being born!

Loved this post Sarah! Tell Nate he's a champ and as for you...thank you for your example. Really Sarah, I know I don't necessarily know you all THAT well, but I truly look up to you and love your posts.
