Why can't everyday be like Saturday??

I LOVE Saturdays! I am anxious every week for Saturday to roll around. Between Nate's school, work, homework, church calling, and various basketball games and my class, homework, new church calling and taking care of Aiden, we rarely have time during the week to just relax and hang out together. Yesterday was MUCH needed! We started it off with our weekly ritual of Nate's amazing pancakes in the morning. Between the two of us we usually eat an entire batch :)
Then we made sure to squeeze in a few rounds of our favorite game...

And we love doing random projects together too, so yesterday we painted and distressed an old shelf we had (from when I was a little girl)

Then we went to both Quiznos and Wendys for lunch because we were REALLY hungry (I need to go grocery shopping again so our house has no food!) Afterwards, Becca and her friend Taylor came over to our home to babysit Aiden while Nate and I went to the Jazz vs. Kings game. It was SO nice to have a little date night just the two of us! Thanks Becca and Taylor for watching Aiden! Only 6 more days until Saturday again!

I can't imagine getting a project done all in one day. Our kitchen table and chairs are still out in the garage since last May. Would you be interested in me furnishing you and Nate with a project to keep you busy next Saturday? ;)

The shelf looks so good! Way to go! And hopefully some day I'll have the chance to try these delicious pancakes... =)

I miss Saturdays like that. Enjoy them, because in a few years they will be full of yard work and ball games. You guys will have to teach us Quiddler one of these days. It is one of my parents favorite games too, and I would love to try it sometime.
