Winter Fun??

Now that is is getting cold outside, I am starting to worry about what Aiden and I will do all winter long. This kid LOVES to be outside. If we are inside too long, he will bring me his shoes and then go stand by the door - meaning he wants to get out ASAP. All summer long Aiden and I spent lots of time outside going on walks, playing at the park, going to Farm Country and the Gardens at Thanksgiving Point, swimming, and doing all the fun outdoor stuff. Yes we will keep reading books and playing with his toys inside, but you can only do so much of that til you get cabin fever, ya know? And at his age, he is too young for me to structure any sort of learning or craft time. Aiden just wants to explore, climb on things, and play with toys. So what am I gonna do all winter long?? I have been talking to a few friends about fun indoor ideas for one-year-olds. Here's the list we've come up with so far:

- Kangaroo Zoo
- Jump On It
- The Living Planet Aquarium
- Discovery Gateway
- Bean Musuem
- Story time at the Library
- Indoor Pools
- Indoor walking tracks

So I wanted to ask people that read this some of their good ideas of how to keep a 15-month-old entertained for the cold months?? Any ideas are welcome :)

Forts! My nephew LOVES them! Free and tons of fun. The best is to include the TV under the fort and watch a movie.

I was going to suggests forts as well actually :)
Besides that, my experience doesn't leave very much to contribute!

My kids like to go to Classic Skating in the winter. You can bring bikes and scooters, and it gives them a warm place to ride around. I haven't been to the one in Orem since I was a kid, but we love going to the one up in Sandy. I think you will also be amazed how much you can do outside, even in the winter. Get Aiden a pair of snow pants and boots and he will love tromping around in the snow. After a big snow storm, my kids spend hours playing outside! (and get very worn out :))
