At the big extended Curtis family party this year, Santa showed up. It was so fun watching all the little kids take a turn sitting on his lap. He gave each child a special present too and (magically) knew exactly how each child had been naughty and nice during the year. Aiden got to take a turn. Here's Aiden after about 10 seconds...

And here's Aiden after about 15 seconds...

When that didn't work, I held Aiden on Santa's lap and he still wanted to run away. So we had grandpa try holding him (cause grandpa is his best buddy) and sitting by Santa, but Santa insisted that my dad sit on his lap. Still didn't work, but we did get a funny picture out of it all.

Here's the Curtis family this year...we're smaller cause we are missing Andrew, Melanie, Jackson, and Steve. We'll miss all of them for Christmas this year!

We also went to a fun Santa Claus breakfast at Hogle Zoo this year. We tried Aiden on Santa's lap again and he did a little better, but still a little nervous about it all. He did like getting a sucker though.

After breakfast, we got to go see all the animals around the zoo. Luckily it wasn't too cold outside. Aiden loves animals and it was so fun to see his face as he watched the monkeys and the zebras and the adorable baby elephant, Zuri.

We also had a fun Talent Show night. My mom played her dulcimer like usual, but this year Camryn and Aiden "helped" her out.

Also, our little boy went to nursery for the first time! Yay! We get to listen a little better in church for a few months now (until baby #2 arrives). He did pretty good for his first time. He's growing up fast! He looked like a miniature man in his cute Sunday clothes!

Fun! We didn't get to sit on Santa's lap this year - bummer! It would have been fun to see what Kyler would have done (probably would have just pulled Santa's hair!!)
