rock-a-bye

I just love this poem:
Cleaning and scrubbing
can wait 'til tomorrow
For babies grow up,
I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs,
Dust go to sleep,
I'm rocking my baby
and babies don't keep.
-Ruth Hulbert Hamilton

We cannot get enough of holding and cuddling little Brennan!  He is such a sweet baby.  He is always so content to be wrapped up in our arms.  We love the funny sounds and faces he makes.  Like when he snores really loud and when he smiles in his sleep.  We know too well that this precious newborn stage does not last long.  I am trying to enjoy every minute of it - even if it means doing laundry once every 2 weeks and cooking less often.  I will get around to it eventually I figure.  But for now, I'll just rock my baby.

My mom has that poem embroidered and framed and I love it. What a darling picture of you and Brennan.
