catching it on camera

One of the happiest moments after having a baby is that first big smile.  Usually that first smile appears when you are completely tired from lack of sleep and exhausted from being on call 24/7.  Then, all of the sudden, the baby and you lock eyes and that huge, toothless grin first appears.  That's when you first know that your little babe feels all that love and care you give him (or her) day in and day out. 
When Aiden first smiled I remembered being so consumed with love for him and realizing how much  I love being a mom.  I felt that same overwhelming love when Brennan first smiled a few weeks ago.  After getting him to smile, it took a little while to get that adorable smile on camera.  I literally had to sit in front of him with a camera and snap about fifteen pictures to actually get one of him at the exact moment he smiled.  Thank goodness for digital cameras!  Here's my attempt of catching it on camera:

As soon as I whipped out the camera, B stopped giving smiles for a couple of minutes. He just stared at me wondering what the heck I was doing.

Then I thought he was about to smile...but it was a sneeze,

But then I caught one!
