Vegas - day one

Luckily, the ride down to Vegas went by fast.  Nate was the wonderful chauffeur, Brennan slept almost the entire time, Aiden kept busy eating lots of snacks, and I enjoyed quiet time reading a book and a half.

We only had to stop one time the entire way down.  That's pretty impressive with two little kids we thought!  I fed Brennan while Aiden got all his wiggles out and ran wild outside.  Literally, he was running in circles.  I guess sitting in a car for four hours gets pretty boring for an almost-two-year-old.

When we pulled up to our hotel, Aiden got so excited and kept saying "temple, temple, temple" over and over.  We stayed at the Excalibur (it seemed the most kid-friendly hotel on the Strip) and I guess it does kind of resemble a temple. He also thought the Statosphere was a temple.  Funny boy.

Here the three boys are hanging out in the hotel room...

We love Vegas for their abundance of shopping malls all over the place, so the first night we decided to go the my favorite mall there - The Miracle Mile Shops. I got to go to some of my favorite stores (H&M and The Loft) and Aiden got to see the fountain show there which he thought was the coolest thing in the entire world.

Looks so fun! I am impressed Nate was willing to tag along and go shopping! And maybe even more impressed that you only had to stop once on your trip and you read a book and a half! Wow!
