TWO

Aiden's two year check up was today.  His two year stats are:
     WEIGHT: 28 lbs (60%)
     HEIGHT: 36 inches (90%+)

I can't believe he'll be two this Sunday!  He is at such a fun age.  He is constantly learning and figuring out the world and it is so amazing to watch.  We love him so much!  We feel so blessed to have such a funny, sweet, quirky, hyper, silly little guy in our home!  For my own memory, here are a few things about Aiden at 24 months:
- He has become a little talker!  Not all of it is understandable, but a lot of it is now.  He says new words everyday. And he is speaking in little sentences too.  It's so fun to hear him say new things all the time. 
- He talks in 3rd person about himself all the time and calls himself "Ada"
- He loves to color and use play-dough. But we have to watch him close because he thinks it is funny to color on furniture.
- He loves playing the matching game.
- He loves the swing at the playground. He's usually too cautious and nervous to try the really big slides, but he likes the little slides.
- He drinks about 8 cups of milk a day.  
- He loves to give hugs and kisses. And waves to everyone we see. 
- He loves trains, planes, helicopters, buses, trucks, etc.  But especially "choo-choo trains" (We think he'll love his birthday present cause of that)
- He is OCD.  Extremely.  He doesn't like messes.  He usually gets one or two toys out at a time and then cleans them up before he gets more out. (I definitely like that quality!)  If he sees one of his blocks in the wrong container, he says, "ought oh" and immediately puts it where it belongs. 
- He loves to see the temple (motmoh) cause it means we are going to one of the grandparent's houses.
- He LOVES his grandmas and grandpas.  A lot!
- He doesn't pay attention to TV much - unless the Preschool  Prep dvds - Colors, Shapes, Numbers, or Letters - are on.  Then he is glued.
- He still loves his elephant more than anything.  "Eh-Eh" does everything Aiden does.
- He copies everything we do.  The other day I found him holding my breast pump up to his tummy...and he was frustrated nothing was coming out. Haha.
- He is a daddy's boy.  He LOVES when daddy comes home from work.  Every night before bed, Aiden and daddy play basketball together in his room.  And he is getting quite good from all the practice! :)
- He loves Brennan.  He is such a good helper during the day - getting me burp cloths or wipes or diapers.
- He knows all his colors, almost all the numbers up to ten, and some shapes - circle, star, square, triangle, and moon.  He's a smart little guy.
- He loves to read books.  
- He loves to help me cook.  I can't cook anymore unless he's standing on a chair beside me.
- He loves nursery and all during sacrament meeting he says (very loud) "done?" "done?" cause he wants to go to nursery so bad. 
- He is really coordinated with building towers and putting his marble toy together. 
- He has to wear his dino pjs EVERY night and refuses to wear any other pajamas.

We love him so much and look forward to what this next year will bring!
