memorial 5k

Nate, Becca, and I ran a 5k last Saturday.  My mom, Taylor and the boys cheered us on at the end. And my mom made sure to take pictures of us all sprinting to the finish line.

Once the race was over, we enjoyed some fruit and delicious French toast from Magleby's (yes, I'm sure the French toast cancelled out all the calories we burned while running...but it was worth it!)   There was also a bounce house and a massage booth that Nate took advantage of. The most exciting thing about the race though was the fact that Nate and Becca both won awards!  Nate won first place in his age group and Becca won 2nd place in her age group!  They did awesome!  After the race, Nate looked up online what place I came in and I was 5th which I felt  pretty good about too (and no, there were not only 5 runners!)

They also had face painting for the kids. Aiden's face was painted like a dalmatian puppy and he was SO excited to see himself in the mirror! We might just have to do some face painting at his birthday party next month.

Then after the race, I got to have a girl's day out with the Tadje girls - getting a manicure, a pedicure, and going out to lunch. I love a day of pampering...and I love getting to hang out with my awesome sister-in-laws and mother-in-law!  I am so lucky to have married into such a fun family!
