halloween fun

Introducing the little dragon and little fireman...
We milked Halloween for all we could this past week. I'm pretty sure we had some sort of Halloween activity every day since Wednesday - including a preschool party, a ward party, a playgroup party, a work party (for just Nate & me), a trunk of treat with cousins, trick or treating at both grandpas and grandmas, and visiting Hee Haws on Halloween day (which will get a post of its own).  I went a little camera happy and took too many pictures but here are a few:

{preschool party}
October was my month to teach for our little preschool co-op...meaning I was in charge of the Halloween party.  It was a lot of work to plan and get every thing ready but it turned out okay in the end. The kids enjoyed doing a cake walk, decorating treat bags, playing "hot pumpkin", doing a bean bag toss,  having a costume parade, eating too many treats, and playing Halloween Bingo.
(some of the preschool kids while we waited for everyone else to show up)
 {music playgroup}
A few friends and I do a little music playgroup for the kids once a week where we get together to sing songs, play instruments, and dance around.  So it was only fitting to do a little party there too.  We danced around to music like Monster Mash and Ghostbusters then played some games.
{work party}
Yes, that is Richard Simmons there sweatin' to the Oldies.  I dressed up as an 80s exercise chick too but never got around to taking a picture of my costume.  The Macfarlanes had another awesome annual Halloween party at their house and it was fun to see what people dressed up as - the ninja turtles and nacho libre were some of our favorites.
{trick-or-treating}
After a Halloween dinner at my parents, we went trick or treating in their neighborhood like always, and then headed over to grandma and grandpa Tadje's for the rest of the night.
Favorite things from this Halloween:
- hearing Aiden strike up a conversation with everybody that answered the door when he went trick-or-treating
- watching Brennan sign "more" for more candy when he still had a mouthful of it.
- Nate asking Aiden if he could have a piece of candy and Aiden giving Nate the tiniest thing in his bucket.
- watching Brennan's little dragon tail swish back and forth as he walked waddled around in his big costume trick-or-treating

Hope your Halloween was wonderful too!
