Lately these boys have been obsessed with their stuffed animals. Aiden plays make-believe with them all the time, and Brennan just follows along. Usually the animals are at Disney World, on a boat, in time out, reading books, or some other creative place. Sometimes he comes out of his room at night and says things like "I can't go to sleep because Duck won't let me" or "Bear is having a birthday party tonight so I can't sleep or else I'll miss it." He is quite imaginative.
I actually read a book in college about how important make-believe is for a kid's development. It helps them develop creativity, empathy, problem-solving, and other important things So when Aiden finds new excuses "from his animals" not to go to bed at night, I just have to remind myself how important this is for his social well-being :)
(Almost no room for Aiden in bed. And yes, that is a crib for elephant)

enjoy the cute little excuses - one day they won't be there
