The last few weeks, Callie had been trying to figure out how to move around. She could easily crawl foward on her hands and reach something in front of her but she couldn't quite figure out how to move her legs behind her. Then one morning it clicked! After I changed her diaper, she rolled over, got up on her hands and knees and crawled forward without a glitch. It was the tiniest, daintiest little crawl but she did it! And once she did it once, she kept doing it. She crawled all over her bedroom and was so proud of herself when she moved. After she'd crawl far she would start clapping for herself and it was the cutest little thing. And now she has been crawling for almost a week and she won't hold still. I love watching Callie grow up and learn new little things each day!
It's kind of funny because so far all of our kids now have hit their developmental milestones at the same time - sat up unassisted about 5 1/2 months, crawled at 8 1/2 months...so I am guessing Callie will follow suit and walk about 13 months like her brothers.
She is already interested in stairs so we are gonna be in trouble.
Even though it keeps me busy having to vacuum often and watch her every move, I love seeing her move all around. All of the sudden she seems so grown up and before I know it I'm sure her 1st birthday will be here.
