It was fun having Aiden home from school all last week. It got me excited for summer and having lots of carefree days! We did some fun things during spring break to make the most of our time all together.
{Feeding the ducks}
The city of Highland has really helped clean up Adventure Learning park and it is so pretty now! We went one morning with my mom to feed the ducks...even though the ducks weren't that interested in eating our old hot dog buns. I'm sure we'll be back there a lot this summer on bike rides and swimming in the pond.
Brennan liked eating the bread himself instead of throwing it into the water.
{Picnics at the park}
The weather was so pretty this past week so we went to a few different parks. We are excited for park weather again!
{Dinner up the canyon}
We went up the canyon with some friends in our ward for hot dogs and marshmallows one night. We love being up the canyon and it was so fun hanging out with the Perrys, the Lemmons, and Lose and her boys.
{B-ball at the rec center}
Nate used to take our boys to the Orem rec center all the time to play basketball but we don't live that close to it anymore. So one day while I went grocery shopping, Nate took a break from work, picked up the boys from shopping with me at Winco, and took them to the Orem rec to play some ball. They liked doing that A LOT more than shopping with me.

{Family bike ride}
We did a 5 mile bike ride as a family last Saturday. Pretty much every Saturday it is good weather, Nate has been taking the boys on bike rides. They are so good on their bikes and I love how active they love to be. This past week, we bought a bike for me and a bike seat for Callie so all five of us could go. It seriously was so fun! Callie looked so tiny in the bike seat but she liked it. Nate just ordered a bike trailer for Callie because we think she'll be a little more secure in that for longer bike rides...and we are hoping to go on lots of long family bike rides this summer.
My parents met us at Art Dye park which is about halfway between our houses. We ate a little picnic and rode around all together before heading home. They love bike riding too so I hope they keep meeting up with us for bike rides. I love living only a few miles from them!
{Girl's Night and Date Nights}
I got to go out one night with all the wives of Nate's high school friends. I love that we are all friends too! We went to Bona Vita and had some fun girl talk.
Nate and I also got to go on two dates during spring break too. I wish we could do that every week cause we love having some quality time with just the two of us. The first date we went on a 20-mile bike ride so I could try out my new bike. We went along the Murdock Trail and then went to Popeyes for dinner. And then another night, we went to the Sacred Gifts Exhibit at BYU. I went with Brennan's preschool a few weeks ago but couldn't pay too much attention to it because Callie was all over the place. So I took Nate to it without kids and we enjoyed walking through it. Such a great week!
