Nate and my sweet kids sure made me feel loved for Mother's day this year! It started off Friday when I got a special delivery of some colorful tulips. And then I was spoiled again with breakfast in bed on Sunday and lots of love and attention from Nate and the boys. Aiden made me the cutest little notebook in Kindergarten, along with a card and a flower pencil. I seriously LOVED getting those things from him. And Nate gave me the best present ever: Nate Bucks. Nate got creative this year and made fake dollar bills (with a closeup shot of his face in the middle of course) and then wrote on them different ways I can spend my money. My favorites were "20 minute foot massage" and "Nate does laundry for a day." I loved how original they were and I have made sure to put them to good use already!
Another big highlight of Mother's day is that we got to talk to Becca! It was so fun skyping with her. She has been out a year now and it's hard to believe.
We also got to visit with both my parents and Nate's parents. The other day, Nate and I were talking about how blessed we were to be born into such great families. Both sets of parents love our kids just as much as we do, they are both super strong in the church, and they are great examples to us of a happy, successful marriage. On Mother's day, I am especially grateful for my own mom who is one of my very best friends and I am also grateful for Diane for raising Nate to be such a wonderful husband and father. We are blessed! It was a great Mother's day in deed!
And finally, I had to share Aiden's thoughts on me. He filled this out in Primary:
It looks like my OCD-ness is making an impression on him :)
