Father's Days and Nate's birthday

Father's day and Nate's birthday were only two days apart so we had a few days to celebrate Nate and the awesome father and husband he is!  These boys LOVE their dad.  They want to be just like him and it is so cute to see them mimic everything he does.  Just the other day, Brennan nicely said to me, "Mom, I wish you went to work so daddy could stay home and play with us every day."  (Luckily he said it so sweetly that I didn't take offense!) I love how much they love him! I hope these boys turn out to be just like Nate. Happy birthday and Father's day Nate!

On Nate's actual birthday this year, he had a big, fancy work dinner up at the Grand America.  Aaron and Samantha were planning on watching our kids that evening...and they encouraged us to do an over-nighter up there.  Well, everything fell into place and we ended up booking a night at the Grand America!  We have never stayed at such a fancy place so we were excited!

When we got to Grand America, they booked us in a beautiful corner suite for the night!  Nate originally tried booking a night for us at the Little America but because they were sold out we got an incredible deal on a night at the Grand America...and Mike M even gave us $100 toward a night there too so we really scored an awesome deal! The hotel suite was amazing and it was so nice to have some peace and quiet for an evening! We got all dressed up and went to the dinner for a couple hours, and then went swimming, and then watched a movie.
The next morning we slept in until 9am!  We never get to do that so that was nice!
After our lazy morning, we went out to breakfast and packed up and headed back to real life!
It was quick but it was nice spending quality time together and I hope this becomes a birthday tradition!
