Idaho trip

All summer long Nate has been preparing for his big 100 mile bike ride he was going to do with Aaron and Jared this summer.  The day finally came so we drove up to Jared & Trina's house in Boise late one night and the next morning Nate and his brothers embarked on their mountain bike ride.  Nate's experience of riding 15,000 feet and pulling a trailer was quite difficult and memorable and hopefully he will write about that experience on the blog soon.  He told me it was probably the hardest thing he has ever done. It is an experience he will not want to forget...so when he has time I'll have him document it.  Anyway, while the guys were away, the moms (Trina, Samantha, and I) and all the kids spent time playing at their beautiful new home.  They live on 5 acres now and there is plenty of space for the kids to run around and plenty of things to keep the kids entertained.
Jared & Trina are building a new barn and they are beginning their own farm.  They now have a couple of cows, chickens, and a bunny...with more animals in plan for the future.  The kids were in heaven seeing the animals and playing on the tractor and exploring everything there.
The kids found this cute little frog and it kept them entertained for an entire afternoon.
This tractor ride was definitely a favorite.
The guys left early Thursday morning and Friday afternoon they finished up and we all met up at Jared & Trina's cabin for a couple of days of boating, hanging out at the beach, and hanging out at the cabin.  And it was a blast up there!

Jared was a pro at the surfing so he gave some of the younger kids rides.  Aiden LOVED surfing with Uncle Jared!
I love seeing all these cute cousins together!
Nate and I tried out paddle-boarding for the first time and loved it.  It is a lot easier than it looks.
Nate and a few others even went on another bike ride up at Tamarack Resort.  I guess his crazy experience on the 100-miler didn't stop him from biking again.
Jared & Trina were SO wonderful to provide such a great weekend at their house and cabin! It was the best way to end our great summer!
