August happenings

{Andersons came to town}
We loved getting to spend the day with the Andersons while they were here from Texas.  We are so excited to have Rachael at BYU now!  We spent the day at the new and improved Bean Museum, the art museum at BYU, and then we had a BBQ that night with all of the Tadjes around here.  And of course we had to get a picture by the famous liger - Shasta!
{30-mile date night}
Now that Nate has gotten really into biking, some of our recent dates have been going on long bike rides.  Our favorite ride so far was riding from our house, down to Riverwoods, eating dinner at Kneaders, and then riding all the way back. It is exactly 30 miles.  I love doing active things on date nights instead of just the typical dinner and a movie always (but I do like that occasionally too).
{WICKED!}
One of the highlights of my summer was going to Wicked with my mom!  First we went to dinner at the Joseph Smith building and then we went to the show!  I had already seen Wicked three times before but we made sure to go this time because Nikki Bohne (one of my best friends from high school) was in it!  It was SO amazing to see her perform!  And I LOVE that show anyway - so having such a dear friend in it even made it better.  After the show Nikki gave my mom and me a backstage tour and then we ended up driving back to Cedar Hills all together so we got to talk for another hour or so.  What a great night!
{Back-to-school Night}
Aiden got to meet his new first grade teacher and he was especially excited that his good friend Paige is in his class too. He loves school and is so happy to be a first grader now.
 {Fun with friends}
A&B have lots of little neighborhood friends and friends in the ward that they love to play with.  I love that they are little social butterflies.
 {Sunday drive}
The weather this August has not been that hot. There has been a lot of rain (and hail) and cloudy days.  Everything is so green because of all the moisture so one day we drove up the canyon to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
 {BYU game}
BYU football has begun again so we got all dressed up in our BYU attire and went over to the Tadjes to watch it with a bunch of the family.  Callie finally got to wear her cute cheerleading outfit from my parents and she was too cute to not snap a couple pictures.
 Samantha also played around with Callie's hair that night and did Callie's first ponytail! It was so tiny and so stinkin' cute!
