Thanksgiving 2014

This year our Thanksgiving was a little different.  First, we ate a big turkey dinner with the Tadje family on the Sunday before Thanksgiving.  Our yummy dinner was at Dave & Diane's house.  Because everyone has such big families, it was a little chaotic like usual, but still a lot of fun.  I tried snapping a picture of some of the grand kids but it was impossible to get a normal picture. Here's the best one:
On the real Thanksgiving day, Nate played flag football with some friends and then we went bowling like usual.  Even though my parents were out of town, we still went bowling with the Blackham family.  We love that tradition!
And after bowling, we picked up Nate's parents and Steve and headed up to Salt Lake to go out to eat.  We were originally planning to eat at the Little America but because the wait was so long we decided to eat somewhere else.  We drove around for a while trying to find a restaurant that was open on Thanksgiving and one that wasn't too busy and we finally settled on Sizzler.  It was pretty good food (Little America would have been better) but we were happy to just spend some quality time with Nate's parents.
That night, Steve and I decided to be crazy and do some Black Friday shopping because there were some amazing deals going on.  So we headed to Wal-Mart right when it opened at 6pm. The place was NUTS and it was hard to move around, but we got some great deals on Christmas presents so I guess it was worth it. It was a fun way to bring in the Christmas season!
