December craziness

December is always a crazy month and this year was no exception.  But it's also probably the best month of the year because there is lots of family time and holiday fun and celebrations.  I took a lot of pictures during the month so here goes...
{30th birthday!}
The month started out with my turning 30!  It's crazy to realize I'm that old!  The night before my birthday Nate took me out to Cubby's for dinner and then took my on a shopping spree.  He knows the way to my heart :)  The next day I felt so much love from family and friends.  I went to lunch with Alison and then Nate and the kids took me out to Olive Garden for dinner.  We don't eat out a ton as a family so it's always a treat.  I am so blessed to have these guys in my life!

 {MOTAB Concert}
It's nice having my mom in the choir because we get the MOTAB Christmas concert tickets each year.  And now Aiden is old enough to come with it.  It was an amazing concert as always and the perfect way to get in the Christmas spirit.
 {Callie's Christmas Recital}
Callie had her first recital ever and she was the cutest little dancer!  She danced to "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" and Nate and I loved getting to watch her dance.
Callie is lucky to have so many little friends in her class...Berkley and Holland and Carmen.
 And Santa was there so Callie got to visit him for a bit.
 {Co-op Preschool}
I got to teach preschool to these cute kids.  I love that Callie gets to do this little co-op preschool with her buddies.  They all get along so well and are the easiest group I've ever taught (WAY easier than Brennan's little joy school group).
 {Friends Christmas Party}
Crystal hosted a Christmas party with our girlfriends.  I'm so glad to have these friends!  We do Bunco once a month and I love getting to see them all and catch up.  When we're together we could talk for hours and hours and we never want to leave (and usually get home way past our bedtime!)
 {Ward Christmas Party}
This year our ward put together humanitarian kits for our Christmas party.  And then we had a special guest - Santa!  The kids were excited about that.
 {Santa Clause Brunch}
For years we've done breakfast with Santa but now Thanksgiving Point is charging $30 a person!  So my mom had the great idea to have lunch at Brick Oven Pizza and have Santa visit us there!  So my kids got to see Santa again.
 Aiden is starting to outgrow Santa's lap...  :)
{BYU game}
 Nate got to take the boys to a BYU basketball game.  They are some of the hugest BYU fans and I'm glad they got a boys' night out.
 And their picture showed up on the jumbotron so they were extra excited!
{Aiden's class Christmas party}
 I got to help with Aiden's class party making gingerbread houses.  I love helping in his class and he seems genuinely excited to have me there. (I hope he always feels that way!)
 {Tadje Christmas dinner}
Even though Dave and Diane are now in Colorado, we still got together with all of the Tadjes here and had our own Christmas celebration.  We ate the typical ham and yummies and then we played a fun gift exchange game.  We wrapped up some live gold fish and that was a hot item!
 {Extended Curtis family party}
The night after the Tadje dinner we had a dinner with all of the extended Curtis family.  It's a night we always look forward to because there's good food and lots of family and always some sort of gift exchange.  This year my Uncle David dressed up as Santa's helper and gave each of the kids a nice gift.  David and Deanne are always so generous!
 Lots of babies!
{Playing at Grandma's School}
One afternoon while Nathan and Danae's family was in town we went to my mom's classroom and did a talent show and then went in the gym and played.  It was a great place to take the kids to get their wiggles out.
 {Build-a-Bear Outing}
For Christmas my parents took the 3-year-old girls to Build-a-Bear and they got to pick out a bear, fill it up, and pick out an outfit for it.  They were so excited about it.  They all insisted on wearing princess dresses there and then they got princess dresses for their bears too.
Savannah and her faces...  ;)
And a few more random pictures from December b/c they're too cute not to post:
We love video calls...
And sweet note's from our 6-year-old ("in tir wild" = entire world)...
And we sure love this happy and sweet and messy little baby of ours!
