On Brennan's actual birthday, Nate made him waffles in the morning, then I got to brag about him to his class, and then we went to McDonalds for dinner. Happy Meals always make these kids happy :)
His friends party was the following night and he had a movie party (watching the Lego Ninjago movie) and had a huge Concession stand. Brennan was VERY excited about all the drinks and treats and candy for his party :)
On the day of the party, he helped me get the Concession stand ready. His concession stand had popcorn, Sprite, Sunkist, Sour Patch kids, Airheads, White Chocolate Hershey bars, Twix, Reeses, Skittles, Starburts, Hi-Chews, Licorice, and Swig Cookies. It was a lot of sugar! When each of his guests arrived, he gave them 10 tickets to buy concessions. The kids loved it!
When his friends first arrived, they played some football because the weather was nice. Then they had pizza and then started the movie. Most of the kids stayed downstairs the whole time to watch the movie but a couple kids were too hyper to sit still. So eventually the party turned into a nerf gun war (thanks to some of Brennan's friends giving him new nerf guns). So our house was a little crazy but they sure had fun! Sadly, all the junk food caught up with Brennan and he threw it all up all in the middle of the night. So we'd limit the amount of treats next time so no one gets sick!
