Nate and I got to go on an early Valentine's day date to Top Golf. I beat him on the first game so that was definitely something to rub in :) But he went on and killed me on the rest of the games. I love our date nights! While we were on our date, my parents took all four kids on a little Valentine's day date to see the new Peter Rabbit movie which the kids loved.
Aiden got to go to a Cinderella Ballet and he got this fancy new tie there. He looked so handsome (and grown up!) so I had to snap his picture. The boys made Valentine's day boxes for school - basketball themed. They did the majority of the work themselves and they turned out pretty awesome.
While the boys were making their boxes, Graham found another box and had lots of fun with it.
As usual, we had a special Valentine's day breakfast with everyone. I made a French toast casserole that was pretty yummy.
I got to help with Brennan's class party and I did a little I SPY game with the kids.
After school on Valentine's day, we surprised our kids with a little date - going to see the Greatest Showman! Nate and I had already seen it, but we loved it so much we had to show the kids. They loved it just as much as us!
Steve and Rayane came to town for the weekend and the kids loved playing with their California cousins. It was a beautiful day outside and it felt nice to walk to the park.
Graham is OBSESSED with grandpa. My dad always is a favorite with our kids because he gives them lots of attention. Graham talks about grandpa all the time and they are little pals. And they wore matching vests that day so it required a picture :)
Utah weather is bipolar, so a few days later it snowed like crazy and we got to go sledding! It hasn't snowed a lot this year - it's been a really mild winter. It happened to snow on President's day so Nate had the morning off of work - so we all went sledding together and had such a fun time!We had a great time at the Blue & Gold Banquet too. Nate was out of town so I took the kids alone. The theme was magic and Aiden got to be the volunteer from the audience.
Our friend Dave Farnsworth (from our old Orem ward) had 3 extra tickets to a BYU game so he invited Nate, me, and Aiden. Aiden is a huge BYU fan so I'm glad we got to have him come along.
Callie had career day at preschool and she insisted on dressing up like a mom. I wasn't gonna discourage her from that because that really is the best job! She wore a dress, necklace, lipstick, and she brought a baby doll, purse, and a phone as her props. She made the cutest and sweetest mom! She wanted a little photo shoot and I happily obliged :)
I love her age and hope she always stay so sweet and fun! Graham wanted part of the photoshoot action too so he hopped on the couch and said "cheese" loud so I wouldn't forget him. :)
After preschool, Callie came home with lipstick ALL over her face - it shows that lipsticks should be reserved for moms and not 4-year-olds!
I was just put in as the new Wolf Cub Scout leader! I am so excited to get to do scouts - especially because Brennan will be in my den! My mom took him out and bought him all his new scout stuff and he looks so grown up with all the scout gear! It will be fun to get to do scouts with him and his little buddies.
A few other highlights that we don't have pictures of:
-We went out with the Brewers and A&S and went to an escape house. We loved it and we were proud of ourselves because we got out in 45 minutes! It was all about Leonardo's Loot and we worked well together figuring out the clues.
-I got to go to a BYU basketball game with my dad one night which was fun
-Nate and I went to the ward Sweetheart dance. Neither of us can dance well but we sure have a good time!
And that wraps up February!
