The first week of July my parents organized a family trip with all of their kids and grandkids in Bear Lake! It was an incredible week and we had so much fun! We stayed at a home in the Legacy Beach Resort community which is right on the beach. It had great beach access, a pool, a clubhouse, and the house was perfect for our family reunion!
With so many cousins around the same ages, getting together with the Curtis side is a blast for everyone! These cousins are best friends with each other and it's always a good time when we all get together!
The first day we arrived, we settled in and did a puzzle competition and hung out as a family. The next day was a little overcast and rainy for a little bit and then we saw the prettiest double rainbow over the lake!
We spent a lot of time making bracelets, making movies (the kids' favorite pastime together), playing games, swimming, playing pickleball, jumping on the inflatable water tramp, and having a good time! We especially loved having the pool overlooking the lake. The hot tub was a favorite for us all!
One of the evenings, we took family pictures.
The kids also loved getting to have sleepovers all week with their cousins. Lots of late nights!
This summer Nate fell in love with golf! He wanted to try out the course right next to the lake. The two of us woke up early one morning and went on a golf date. It was beautiful!
One of the days we rented wave runners and took turns cruising around the lake. It was a blast! The kids each had a chance to steer and drive the wave runners. It was so much fun!
We made a couple of trips to Le Beau's for shakes. That's always a must in Garden City!
A few of us went to the Pickleville Playhouse and saw the funniest show! It was called "Thick as Thieves" and it was the a hilarious and clever parody!
Another morning, Nate recruited some new golfers, including all of our kids. It was a first time for a lot of us so we lost a lot of balls! But we had a good time!
Lots of good memories from this trip!! I'm so grateful my parents made this trip possible!
