March 2024

The month started off with a little girls trip to Saint George with some friends in my neighborhood. My friend Kari owns a house down there so we stayed there and had a blast hiking, shopping, talking, eating out, hot tubbing, walking through the Red Cliffs temple open house and doing a favorite things exchange. It was a blast!! I live in the BEST neighborhood!
Aiden asked his friend Vee to Prom and she answered yes. It's so fun having a kid in high school!
Diane has been busy sewing these temple bags and she made me this beautiful one! She is so talented!
Graham and his cousin James played on a basketball team together. Basketball season is always a good way to get through the colder months!
Brennan turned 14 and celebrated at Top Golf with his buddies. I shared more about that on his birthday post.
Callie and her friend love coordinating outfits. We went shopping one afternoon and they bought matching sweaters and they were very excited about them :)
On St Patrick's day, Callie and I matched. We always celebrate it with an Irish dinner with all of my Blackham relatives in Utah. It's a fun tradition! We eat corned beef and cabbage, potatoes, and green jello. We usually do Irish trivia too.
Nate and I went to see Fiddler on the Roof at the Hale. They always put on an amazing show and I love when we can sneak away to see one togther.
We celebrated Graham turning 8! I shared more in his birthday post.
Nate bought a new car! With Aiden turning 16 this year, we needed to let him use Nate's old car so Nate needed a new one. Nate got a Tesla and we both quickly fell in love with it! It's so smooth and zippy. I'm not a huge car person but I do love our Tesla.
Callie went to JA City on a field trip. The kids get "jobs" and get to work and live and function in a fake community for a day. It's a lot of fun. I helped out at the Maverick. A bunch of my neighbor friends were there helping chaperone too. It's one of the best field trips and it's really memorable for the kids.
Nate had a half marathon at the end of the month in Moab so we tagged along and made a little trip out of it! Aiden had to work so he stayed back. With just the five of us, we fit in the Tesla so we drove it down for our first road trip in it.
Moab was pretty cold and wet so it wasn't what we were hoping for. But we made the best of it! Nate did awesome in his race and he never complained despite the rain and cold. After his race, we had a big lunch at the Moab Diner which is one of our favorite places. The rest of the time in Moab, we explored Arches. Our favorite hikes were the Window Arches Loop and Delicate Arch. It was still pretty wet and rainy on Saturday so we didn't stay in Arches for too long. Plus, Nate was pretty exhausted. We went back to Arches on Sunday after church and luckily the sun finally came out so we spent more time hiking and exploring and soaking up the sun! Moab is a beautiful place!
Nate took the kids skiing and they had a blast! When we lived closer to Snowbasin, Nate and the kids would ski a lot. But now that we live in Lehi and our kids are older and busier, it's harder to do. But I'm glad they got one good ski day in for the year.
Brennan finished up basketball with his Bantam team. Bantam ends in 8th grade so this was the end of Bantam. It's been such a great thing for him! Brennan is so talented and athletic that he needed more competitive basketball. It was sad to see this chapter close.
We went to the Manti temple open house one Saturday. It was quite the experience! We waited in line for over 2 1/2 hours and still were only about halfway through. My mom realized we were in the standby line even though we had tickets. So she went and talked to someone at the front and we showed our tickets and went right in! My mom had no reservations and we're glad she was bold so we didn't have to wait longer. It was a beautiful and unique temple being one of the oldest. While we waited the kids played in a grassy field and we tried to stay sane standing in line.

Brennan decided to change it up and get a new haircut! He looks so handsome and grown up!
