The Brief History of Us

So I wanted to jump onto the blog band-wagon cause it seems to much easier than keeping a journal! And I think a journal is better with pictures...so it will be a lot easier doing it this way. So here's the quick catch-up of our life together:

My cute hubby and I met in high school..in our seminary class when I was 15 and Nate was 17. We talked occasionally in class..Nate always making the initiative to talk (cause I was too scared to talk to an older guy!) Then my junior year, I asked him to Sadie Hawkins and a few months later we started dating seriously. We weren't the typical high school couple...we didn't play the games and all. We just loved being together! And our friendship went the entire two years Nate was in Paraguay preaching the gospel. We wrote each other every week (well, almost every week). He got home July 2006, and things were just like before he left except we were both more mature..of course. We got engaged eight days later and we were married on December 29, 2007. And the adjustment to marriage wasn't hard because we had already known each other for so long. We lived in Orem for the first four months of our marriage, moved to Denver while Nate sold security systems there, and then moved back just over a month ago. We love Utah and we love being back around our families and friends. We are both busy going to school and working. Nate is at UVSC going into Business and I am at BYU majoring in Home and Family Living. Although we are super busy, we spend every waking second together that we can! I love getting to hang out with my best friend all the time! We are both loving life!

Here are some pictures of Nate and me since we've been married.
  • Pic # 1 - Here we are on our honeymoon...eating at the Little America...yummm!
  • Pic #2 - Last March Nate and I went down to Zions to get away for a weekend from our busy lives. It was PERFECT weather down there for our hike!
  • Pic #3 - In May, WICKED came to Denver. I had seen it in NYC before, then the Tadje girls came out to see it, and then Nate and I went. So it was my 3rd time seeing it and Nate's 1st. And guess what?! Surprisingly, Nate loved it too!
  • Pic #4 - We flew back to Utah while we were in Denver to see J when he got back from his mission. The Monday after his farewell we went boating - all Nate's buddies and me.
  • Pic #5 - We also stayed a few days with my family in a condo in Pagoas Springs. We all went tubing (except Danae cause she is pregnant) and had a fun time in the cold water. brrr..
  • Pic #6 - Then after a hard summer working, we went down to Lake Powell with family and friends. This picture is right before we were thrown off of the tube...and as you can probably see, we were a little scared!
