XOXOXO

Happy Valentine's Day! Nate bought me the perfect gift this year: a $100 gift certificate to a spa. I can hardly wait! It's nice to get pampered every now and then. :)

Our funny Valentine's story is our very first Valentine's Day together. It was when we were in high school and we had just been dating about a month. Because we hadn't been dating for too long, I didn't want to go all out for Valentine's Day because that might have scared him off (if he thought I was more into him than he was into me). So I went the creative way and made him a huge heart-shaped cookie (a chocolate chip cookie without the chocolate chips - his favorite) and decorated it all cute. Well Nate came by V-day night to pick me up for the big date (ice skating, dinner, movie) and I gave him this huge cookie. He then handed me a little wrapped box. I had no idea what it was. I opened it and looked in side and it was this beautiful silver FOSSIL watch. It must have cost a pretty penny. I was a little embarrassed that I didn't do something nicer for him. We just laugh about it now. But this year he mentioned he really didn't want anything but another big cookie, so that's what he got! Decorating cookies is definitely not my forte but I had fun doing it. So once again, Nate gives me a nice gift and I make him a cookie :)

Here is my VERY AMATEUR cookie:
