day off

Nate has been incredibly busy lately so yesterday he decided to take the day off so the three of us could spend some quality time together.  It ended up being such a fun day!
We woke up to Nate's amazing pancakes and homemade syrup.  They are always delicious!

Then we headed up to Park City for the day for some fun shopping.  We definitely don't go to the outlets enough...they have so many great stores up there. Aiden LOVED trying on these huge girl glasses.  He was sad when we put them back on the shelf.

He quickly forgave us for taking away his glasses because we let him play in the toy fire truck and on the miniature merry-go-round.  Luckily, I had some quarters in my purse so he could enjoy a little ride on them each.  He loved it!

Thanks to Becca later on that night, Nate and I went on a much needed date to the Jazz vs. Lakers game.  Nate has wanted to see the Lakers play for quite some time now - especially to see Kobe play in all his glory.  Well, of course with our luck, Kobe is injured and didn't play at all. But that was just the beginning of our interesting night. We did get free t-shirts which was exciting...I love free stuff.  But unfortunately, my shirt was XXL.  Already being pregnant, I feel big.  Then when I put on a shirt 5 sizes too big for me, I really feel huge.  But Nate and I felt like true fans with our new Jazz apparel on.

So let me just say - Jazz games attract some really interesting people.  That's probably because at least 80% of the people are drunk...well, at least the people sitting around us were.  Before the game even started, a huge train of drunk men staggered up the steps and sat directly behind us.  If the smell of beer isn't nauseating enough, we had to listen to their potty-mouth commentary the entire time.  I've never heard the F-word used in so many unique ways before.  We couldn't help but laugh about how uneducated they sounded.  Then, there was the guy directly in front of me that wanted to stand up for the majority of the game.  Nate and I had to look at this guy's hairy armpits a good portion of the game, instead of actually seeing the court. Here was our view:

Then after the drunk guys spilled beer all over Nate's coat, we had more entertainment join us in the upper bowl.  This woman did the most unique intoxication dance.  She just raised her hands above her head and swayed...as if in slow motion.  She kept us entertained for a long time.  Luckily she eventually sat down too.

And to add to our Jazz game experience, the Jazz played a bad game and the Lakers killed them.  Although it turned out to not be exactly what we had planned, we had lots of fun.  Thanks to all the crazy fans that kept us laughing all night!

Haha, there really are some crazies at those games, aren't there? I think I got so used to the BYU game culture that the Jazz games were always a little bit of a shock :-)

I'm glad you got to have such a fun day together! Aiden looked so stinking cute in those glasses. I'd be sad if I had to put them back, too!

Anyway I am laughing at how you took pictures of the drunk people! So funny. Can't wait for that new little baby to get here!!!
