1st birthday party

We had a fun party to celebrate little B turning ONE.  To get ready for his party, my mom and I made these adorable little panda cupcakes for the celebration.  Nate's parent's gave me the book Hello, Cupcake for Christmas and ever since I saw the pandas in it, I wanted to make them. So we did - and I think they turned out pretty dang cute!
We felt so blessed to have some family and friends there to celebrate with us.  Aiden loved opening B's gifts for him.
Working on sharing the new toys:
My mom with Sydney and Brennan:

Grandma & Grandpa Tadje:
Camryn sporting a birthday hat.  Aiden & Camryn both love birthday hats thanks to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  Aiden begged to buy some for Brennan's party, so we did - but then he refused to let me put one on him. Funny boy. Luckily, Camryn would wear one.
And of course there was the infamous baby's first cake experience.  Brennan is always a messy eater, but surprisingly, he was very apprehensive about devouring the cake.
It took him about ten minutes to finally dump the cupcake out and stuff it into his mouth.  But once he did start eating it, he sure liked all the sugar!
Brennan was lucky to have another birthday celebration with all of the Tadje side.  We celebrated the March birthdays - Swen, Lydia, McKay, and Brennan.   And I got to make these fun rainbow cupcakes for that occasion.
The birthday boy was so cute at his parties!  It's been an amazing year watching him grow.  We sure had a fun week celebrating our sweet little boy!
