basketball

The last few months have been filled with a LOT of basketball.  Nate played on two different teams, so pretty much all his free time went to that.  The boys and I liked to go cheer him on whenever we could.  Sometimes at his games I spent more time chasing the boys around then watching the actual game, but I loved watching what I could.  The first team he played on was at UVU.  Even though he graduated last year, he played on an intramural team with the same friends he's played with for 3 years. You may be thinking how did he play on an intramural team if he already graduated?  Well, at UVU, they let alumni play.  And since Nate is only 25 and his friends on his team are at least that old (some older), he figured he would play one more year in the UVU tournament before possibly joining a city league next year.  His UVU team was pretty dang good this year too. They made it to the championship game in the 4A tournament but sadly lost by a few points at the very end.

He also played ward ball.  You may be thinking now, "big deal, it's just church ball" but Nate and his buddies in our ward are incredibly competitive and they were determined to win the regional church ball tournament this year.  And yesterday, they did just that! Nate's parents came to cheer them on too. The game was intense, but luckily, our ward won in overtime!

And on top of Nate playing basketball during the week, we've joined the Jimmer-mania and have been watching a lot of it too. We're so proud of the cougars!  Last night's game was awesome. With all the games Aiden and Brennan go to and watch, they are bound to like basketball as much as their daddy.  Here's cute Brennan all ready for the game to begin last night...
We're keeping our fingers crossed that BYU can beat Florida this week!!
