At the beginning of the month, we made a bucket list of all the fun holiday things we wanted to do. And surprisingly, we've gotten to most. So far this month, we've...
- visited the Festival of Trees
- seen a live nativity
- decorated Christmas cookies
- looked at the lights at Temple Square
- partied at Aiden's preschool Christmas party
- made Christmas treats
- ate at the ward Christmas party
- watched the Polar Express
- driven around looking at Christmas lights
- drank lots and lots of hot chocolate
- visited Santa at Orem Rec
- partied at the Macfarlane's Christmas party
- finished Christmas shopping and wrapping
- read a different Christmas story each night
- and visited Buddy the Elf and Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the Santa Claus breakfast
We have just a few more things to check off our bucket list for the month...
- play in the snow (we wish the snow would actually last so we could do that!)
- make more Christmas cookies
- attend Curtis family Christmas party
- eat Chinese food at the Nelson's
- and, finally, celebrate Christmas Eve with Tadjes
Here are some pictures from all the fun thus far:
Kids doing the nativity with puppets at the preschool party.
Boys hanging out with Lyd & McKay.
Decorating sugar cookies
Dropping gingerbread houses off the balcony at the Macfarlane's house to see which one could withstand the fall the best. It was quite entertaining.
Santa Claus breakfast at Thanksgiving Point
And not only have we been busy with all the Christmas stuff, but we also got to celebrate Mama Tadje graduating college with a nursing degree! All of Nate's siblings came to town for the big graduation and we loved getting to spend time with all of them. Nate's mom got the "Most Outstanding Student" award because she had the highest GPA in her graduating class. We are so proud of her!!
