parade and fireworks

One of my favorite summertime activities is attending the city celebrations  Sadly, we missed Orem's big Summerfest this year so we decided to go to the parade and fireworks with my parents in Cedar Hills.  Our boys LOVE parades - mainly because they get a bunch of candy thrown at them.  This year A&B also loved seeing the fire trucks up close and seeing Cosmo there.  

 Brennan's new thing when we pull out the camera is to close his eyes tight and give a really cheesy smile. We always joke that he has such a huge personality for a little body.  He sure keeps us entertained with all the funny things he does.

After the parade, we headed to Discovery Park.  Our boys love that place and could have stayed there for hours.

Later that night, we took the boys to fireworks for the very first time ever!  We are pretty strict on getting our kids to bed at a decent hour (more sleep equals happier kids) so we were hesitant to let them stay up until ten for the fireworks.  But it was totally worth it because they loved the firework show.  Aiden's mouth was gaping open part of the time because he thought they were so cool and Brennan cuddled up right by us and didn't take his eyes off the fireworks.  Can't wait for more parades and fireworks this summer!
