Our 4th of July was wonderful - we spent half the day at Seven peaks and half the day boating on Utah Lake. In the heat of the summer, it was a great way to celebrate the holiday. The kids and I have gone to Seven Peaks a lot this summer but we have always gone while Nate is working so we were happy he was finally able to go with us. We met up with the Vongsawads, Kunzlers, Becca, Steve, and my parents there. We decided to go to Seven Peaks first thing in the morning while the Provo parade was going - hoping it wouldn't be too crowded - and luckily the first hour or so we got to do a ton of slides because the lines were short. Nate and I got to do some slides just the two of us which was fun and we took the boys down a bunch of the bigger slides too. Aiden is usually super cautious but he was so fearless all day long and we were so proud of him.
The Kunzlers have five girls and they do such a great job helping us out with Aiden and Brennan. Nikki babysits them sometimes and she bought Aiden Starbursts to give him one each time he went down a big slide. I think the Starbursts helped motivate him there.
After a little break from Seven Peaks, we loaded up the Tadje's boat and headed to Utah Lake. We haven't been out on the boat with these boys for a while so they were SO excited. The Kunzlers came with us and we had such an awesome time out on the lake.
Our boys seriously LOVE everything about being out on the lake. They are definitely Nate's boys! Each time someone would come in from wake boarding or knee boarding, Brennan would say "my turn". It was the funniest thing. He is so fearless. He got so sad when we told him he's only two and he's too little to try it. Haha. He loved swimming in the lake and being thrown into Nate's arms though.
Nikki and Katie popped right up on the knee board and did awesome. It was their first time and they made it seem so easy.
Nate did great on the wakeboard like always too.
The highlight on the boating trip for me was watching Aiden and Nate go knee boarding together. Once again, Aiden was fearless and jumped on the chance when it was his turn to try the knee board. He held on to Nate's back and they got up without a hitch (except Nate is really sore today).
It looked so cute to see Aiden hanging on for dear life. He did so awesome. In just a couple of years he'll be old enough to try knee boarding and waterskiing all on his own. We can't wait to watch him and Brennan learn one day!
It was such a perfect 4th of July! Hope yours was great too!

I love that Aiden stands behind Nate like that while kneeboarding!! That is so cute!
Holy Cow, I've never seen a 4 year old on a knee board! I'm super impressed that he's that brave, and that Nate can do so well with a 4 yr old passenger.
