our annual camping trip

Our camping trip up to Timpanooke was cut short due to the fire in Alpine, but luckily, we still got to enjoy two days up there.  We had a great time - hiking, playing games, reading, eating, and hanging out with my parents and younger siblings.

The boys were in heaven.  When they weren't playing in the dirt, they were playing baseball and frisbee and making some fun little nature crafts. And they made sure to eat a fair amount of marshmallows and candy too.

It is so breathtaking there.  There are a lot of beautiful places in the world, but American Fork canyon is definitely high up on the list.
The boys made bird feeders out of pine cones, peanut butter, and seeds.  We put them up for a while, but after seeing a sign that said no bird feeders because they attract bears, we didn't leave them up for long :)

That canyon really is so beautiful! And the fact that it's just minutes away makes it that much better. I love that you take your boys camping every year -- it looks like so much fun!

Your pictures look so beautiful. What a fun place to camp. Do you have to get reservations way ahead of time?
