Each year before Christmas, my parents give each member in my family $100 for us to use for some charitable cause during the Christmas season. The members in my family do all sorts of different things - spending time and money and effort helping someone or something else in need. And before Christmas, we all gather and talk about the service opportunities we each did. It's such an awesome tradition.
Last year my mom and I did a tree at the Festival of Trees and it was such an awesome experience that we did it again this year. My mom, Nate, Becca, and I pooled together our $100's so we could do a larger tree this year. It was a lot of work setting it up and all but it was so rewarding. The Festival of Trees is so amazing because it is run by volunteers 100% and all of the money our trees sell for goes directly to Primary Children's Hospital. My mom, Nate, and I got to go to the Opening Night up there in Salt Lake and see all the beautiful trees. It was such a cool night. And we hope to do it again next year.
