The last few weeks have been pretty crazy for our little family. We knew before baby #3 came that we'd need two things - a bigger car and a bigger house to fit our growing family. We bought our Acadia back in September so the bigger car part was solved easily. The house part was a little more tricky because we'd first have to rent out our condo and find the perfect tenants and then we'd have to search for a new home.
When we bought our condo 5 years ago, we figured we'd live there a couple of years and then move on. But life never turns out exactly like you plan and we ended up living there 5 years - and the majority of our married life. We are so glad we did because it was the perfect place for our little family. We made SO many great friends there and loved our ward, neighbors, and being in such a prime location. So it's definitely been bittersweet knowing we had to leave our comfortable life there but we've been excited for a new step for our little family. (And luckily we weren't planning on moving far so it would be easy to still see our friends there often at playgroup and Aiden's preschool and Book Club and all!)
For the reader's digest version, we put our condo up on KSL and it rented immediately. The new tenants needed to move in quickly so we packed up and moved - all in 4 days. It was a crazy week (to say the least) of tying up loose ends and figuring out all the logistics of it, but it felt right so we just went for it.
During that week we started searching for a new place to move. We found the perfect little home for us in American Fork and when I walked through it I knew it was the place for our little family to move. It's located on a cul-de-sac, with a big backyard, and it's close to Aiden's future elementary school and closer to our parents up in Alpine and Cedar Hills. It's a great place for us. So we moved in with my parents temporarily (for a few weeks) and now we move into this new place on Thursday. We are very excited for this new adventure!
We've had a great time at my parents the last few weeks. Aiden and Brennan LOVE being at grandpa and grandma's. And we've gotten to see Nate's parents more often too lately because they are closer. I think the boys will be a little sad when we move again on Thursday and it's just the four of us again!
So that's the update on us. Moving is exhausting and I'm looking forward to this week being over and us being settled into our new place. This blog has definitely taken a back seat lately with everything else going on, but I hope to get caught up soon enough. I haven't taken too many pictures lately, but here are a few of Aiden and Brennan from this past week. These two LOVE playing out in the snow and Nate took them sledding on Saturday and they were in heaven! Their snow clothes have sure been put to good use this year!
