more summer outings

We’ve had such a great summer so far! It’s crazy to think that there are only a few weeks left – and then our lives will forever change cause Aiden starts kindergarten!  Even though I had a baby two months ago, we haven't slowed down! We've been enjoying summer to its fullest - splash pads, swimming at the rec center, riding bikes, picnics at the park, BBQs, running through the sprinklers, and eating LOTS of Otter Pops! All the summer essentials.  Obviously I don't document everything we do but I still have taken quite a few pictures of some of our fun summer outings.

Steel Days Carnival
Now that we are residents of American Fork, we made a big effort to go to the Steel Days Carnival.  We went with the Grubers and Aaron & Samantha & their kids and had a great time. The boys loved going on a few of the rides and I loved people watching (Steel Days definitely attracts a wide variety of people!)  After the carnival, we all enjoyed some snow cones.

Camping Trip
We also went camping up at Mutual Dell with all the Tadjes one night (Nate and the boys spent the night and Callie and I just went up for the evening).  We enjoyed some hot dogs and marshmallows around the fire and the boys ran around their cousins up there.  These boys sure love their cousins! And eating way too many marshmallows.

24th of July Fun
Nate had work off on the 24th and we loved having him with us all day! We spent a big portion of the day shopping for school clothes for the boys.  And we also ate at Firehouse Subs and Yogurtland - two of our favorite places.  That night we met up with my parents for the Orem Owlz baseball game and firework show. It was a great way to spend the holiday.

This Is The Place Park
We met up with my mom, Luanne and her kids, Jill and her kids, and Wendy for a fun day at This Is The Place park.  There are so many great activities for kids up there!  I forgot what a cool place it is.  The boys went on a few train rides, made an Indian necklace, panned for gold, rode a mini train around the pond, played at the splash pad, ran around the mini village, and enjoyed walking through some of the old pioneer homes. It was a great activity to do during July when we celebrate our pioneer heritage.

Thanksgiving Point Children's Garden
We braved the crowds and headed to the Children's Garden for $2 Tuesday with my aunt Luanne and her two kids and my grandma Blackham. It wasn't too hectic and the kids enjoyed the splash pad and running through the maze.
