Halloween 2013

Halloween was great this year!  I felt like we celebrated all week long so it was a fun week! Nate and I started off the celebration with the annual Halloween party at the Macfarlanes the weekend before the holiday.  Their parties never disappoint!  The following week we carved pumpkins one night, had Brennan's preschool party, a ward party (probably the funnest ward party we have ever been to!), a kindergarten party, an elementary school Halloween parade, trick or treating at Nate's office, trick or treating around our neighborhood, and trick or treating around my parent's block too.  So by the time Halloween was over, we definitely felt it was well celebrated!

I wanted to coordinate the kid's costumes this year but that took too much effort...so the kids just picked whatever they wanted to be. Aiden was Darth Vader, Brennan was a tiger, and Callie was a ladybug.  Callie actually only wore her costume so I could take her picture.  Her puffy ladybug costume just didn't work in a carseat and because she is too little to trick-or-treat, we just had her wear an orange-ish shirt for the day and called it good.  But she did make a cute little ladybug while the costume lasted!
And even though Aiden has never seen Star Wars (and we definitely are not Star Wars fans around here) he insisted on wearing his cousin's Darth Vader costume.  He was so excited to be a "bad guy" and get to tell people, "Luke, I am your Father."
Here are some other random pictures from the week:

The kids played lots of fun games but the favorite was the donut on the string game.  Thanks Crystal for an awesome party!

He couldn't wear his mask to school or bring his lightsaber so he kind of just looked like a robot but he was the cutest robot in the parade!
It was such a fun Halloween!  And before we know it, Thanksgiving and Christmas will sneak up on us too.  We love this time of year!
