I was planning on writing up a post about Callie at 6 months, but December got crazy (like always) and by the time I remembered, she was already 7 months! So here are a few things about our sweet 7-month-old:
- loves to sit up all by herself
- loves to suck on anything and everything she can
- eating solid foods a couple times a day (mainly just rice cereal, oatmeal, applesauce, and a few veggies)
- still refusing a bottle, but luckily nursing like a champ
- has 2 teeth on the bottom
- loves her exersaucer and johnny jump-up
- not so fond of the bumbo
- LOVES watching her big brothers and laughing at the silly things they do
- doesn't use a binky, but likes to play with one when she falls asleep
- takes 3 little naps a day
- always fall asleep in the car
- loves both her mommy and daddy
- likes to pull her headband over her eyes
- loves to be held
- loves to grip onto my finger with all her might
- doesn't roll often
- doesn't seem interested in crawling yet (I'm fine with that!)
- loves to be swaddled and sung to before naps and bedtime
- sleeps from about 8pm to 8am, waking up just once for a quick nighttime feeding
- SO smiley and happy
- especially so smiley and happy when we go get her from her crib each morning
We sure love this girl!!
Callie seriously has been the perfect addition to our little family! She is the sweetest girl and brings so much happiness into our home! Prior to having her, I had been told that baby #3 is so hard and stressful (because you and your spouse are outnumbered, #3 children are more demanding, etc, etc). But it has been quite the opposite for us! It has been nothing but sheer joy having her in our family and I have enjoyed this baby stage SO much this time around cause I know it goes by WAY too fast. So slow down and stop growing up, okay Callie?!
