We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Independence day! I am so grateful to live in the USA! We don't even realize how blessed we really are for all the freedoms we enjoy. We celebrated by going swimming, going on a bike ride, going to a BBQ, and going to the funnest firework derby with a bunch of our neighbors/friends.
Nate and the boys had so much fun creating their firework cars. They went to DI to pick out cars and little characters for each car and then they taped on a bunch of fireworks and hoped they would work. It was so funny watching the cars be lit up and then watch how far they would go. Some cars would start spinning in circles, some took a sharp turn and headed towards a house or car, and some did all sort of unexpected maneuvers. I hope we continue to do this each year because it was a blast!!
And after the firework derby, we had an awesome firework show thanks to our friends bringing a bunch of aerial fireworks.
We love this holiday!
