We love Christmas around here so we sure make sure to celebrate all month long. We did so many fun Christmas activities during the month that it deserved a post all of its own.
{Festival of Trees}
My mom made a cute owl-themed table-top tree for the festival this year so we went with her to set it up and then we walked down each aisle looking at the creative trees. It is always amazing to see how generous people are in the trees they donate.
{Live Nativity in Alpine}
We have gone to the nativity in years past and it has never been super busy but this year when we showed up there was a HUGE line and tons and tons of people there. We waited a long time to walk through the live nativity but I am glad we waited in line because it was definitely worth it. It is a great activity for us to do so we can remember the true meaning of Christmas. I only took one picture there of Callie all bundled up for the cold:
{Lights at the Riverwoods}
We went to the Riverwoods with the Brewers one night to see the lights and visit Santa. The boys were so excited to tell Santa they wanted remote control race cars. And Callie surprised us all and didn't cry at all when she got close to Santa. After visiting Santa, we went to Provo Beach resort and the kids played on the playground for a little while. We love hanging out with their family!
{MOTAB Christmas Concert}
Having my mom in the choir has perks because we got tickets to the highly coveted Christmas concert. This year, the Sesame Street muppets were there, so all kids ages 5 and older were invited...meaning we got to bring Aiden along! Aiden loved his first MOTAB concert and it was nice to have some quality time with just Aiden.
{Preschool Christmas Program}
Brennan participated in a cute Christmas program with all the kids in his preschool class. He looked so adorable up on the little stage and he was so excited to perform for us!
{Santa Claus Breakfast}
One of our very favorite Christmas traditions is the Thanksgiving Point Santa Claus Breakfast. The kids LOVE getting to see live reindeer, sitting on Santa's lap, decorating cookies, making Christmas crafts, and eating a yummy breakfast. What kid wouldn't be in heaven?!
They were especially excited to finally have their cousins in town from Texas.
Callie didn't like this Santa so much...
{Curtis Family Party}
My dad's side of the family always throws a big Christmas party. These cousins sure have a blast running around the church gym, coloring pictures, and eating lots of treats.
We especially love Christmas time in general because Andrew and Nathan's families come to town and we get to spend quality time with them and the cousins all get to play. It was so fun seeing these cute little 18-month-old girls all together!
For the gift exchange, Callie got this cute little picnic basket that she instantly fell in love with! Once she opened her gift, she didn't let go of it. She held onto it at the church, in the car on the long drive home, and even once we got inside our house.
{Christmas Eve with Tadjes}
For Christmas Eve, the Tadjes all met up at a church and ate our traditional Christmas dinner, opened our warm and fuzzies, and the kids went "fishing" in grandma's fishing pond. It was so fun to be around all these kids that were so excited for Christmas the next morning.
Next up: Christmas day!
