August Happenings

Now that it's October, I should probably finish blogging about August.  Here are some more pics from the end of summer:

{Boating}
We took the Eliminator out a couple times during the month.  Boating is the best!
 {Lavender Farms}
We met up with my mom, Rayane & kids, Luanne & kids, Julie & her grandkids, and my grandma at Lavender Farms in Mona.  It was a beautiful day.  The kids especially loved the little Western town and the playground.  We had a picnic there too.  My morning sickness was really bad that day so I wasn't able to enjoy it 100% but my morning sickness is a post I will write on all it's own :)
I think Callie's big "cheese" smile is just the cutest thing...
...especially when she squints her eyes with it too.
 {Thanksgiving Point Gardens}
We met up with Samantha & kids and Amie & kids to walk through the gardens one afternoon.  Since we got a pass, we haven't been to Thanksgiving Point as much as I would have liked...but I blame that on the crazy morning sickness too.  Hopefully we will start going more once the morning sickness is gone 100%. But I love watching my kids have the best relationships with their cousins.  They are so lucky to have so many awesome cousins!
 {Timpanooke Camping Trip}
We went on another camping trip with the Brewers and A&S Tadjes.  AF canyon is so beautiful and we had such a great time.  I didn't spend the night (thanks to morning sickness...again...) but Nate and the boys had a blast...until the crazy rain storm the second night when they packed up early and headed home.
Our hike was short-lived because it started raining too hard.  It feels like we haven't been lucky with good weather on a lot of our trips this summer.
 {New Car!}
Nate convinced me to trade in our Acadia for a Tahoe.  Our mechanic told Nate that Acadia's aren't the most reliable cars.  Since they have only been around since 2007, their engines are not proven and they aren't as good as other GMC and Chevy cars.  Since we didn't want any major car issues, we decided to get rid of the Acadia and upgrade to a Tahoe.  At first I felt like the Tahoe was so huge but I'm used to it now and really like it.
 {Soccer Season}
Brennan played soccer again and did awesome.  He made at least one goal each game.  He isn't afraid to get right in the middle of everyone and fight for the ball.  He got to be on a team with Ty and Briggs so that made it extra fun.
