We began our July 4th with the ward breakfast...complete with a huge pancake breakfast, bike parade, and candy cannon. The candy cannon is always a hit.
After the ward breakfast, we went kayaking with the Brewers over at the Manila pond. The pond was packed with people but we found a good spot on the beach to camp out and let the kids play while taking turns on the kayak. Kayaking is so fun and I'm glad the Brewers are so willing to share!
After kayaking, we headed to my parent's house for a BBQ (except my mom is still in Europe for the MOTAB tour..so it was just my dad). Steve and Rayane and kids and Becca were all there too. My dad made delicious ribs and other yummy BBQ food. And we spent a good part of the night playing Ladder Golf. It was a perfect holiday day spent with our family and friends.
