Idaho Trip

We did our annual trip to Idaho for Nate's big bike ride with his brothers.  It's been a fun tradition the past few years.  This year Nate and all 3 brothers did it, along with a few of our older nephews (Jake, Drew, Jaxson, and Cam). They went on a 60 mile mountain bike ride from Ola to Lake Casade and then to Jared's cabin.  Trina, Samantha, kids, and I met them at the cabin on Thursday evening.  They were all pretty exhausted by the end of it but I'm sure they'll soon forget and want to plan another trip :)
We had a great time up at their cabin. Watching all of the cousins play is definitely the best part.  It was especially fun to see Aiden and Luke and Lydia get along so well.  They were three peas in a pod.  All of the kids spent a lot of their time building a little "hide-out," hanging out in the hot tub, playing with play dough and toys, and coloring pictures.  And watching Star Wars during some quiet time...because they all love Star Wars.
A big highlight of being up at their cabin is boating of course.  We had two full days of boating this year. People tubed, wake-surfed, played in the sand, and a few kids swam. Lake Cascade is beautiful and we got gorgeous weather while we were there.  Saturday especially was a perfect day of boating.
Aiden had two crazy tube rides - flying 8-10 feet in the air BOTH times and magically still landing back on the tube BOTH times.  It was pretty crazy!  Lydia flew off on one of the rides too.  But surprisingly Aiden wanted more tubes rides. I was proud he was so tough about flipping up in the air twice. Their smiles say it all :)
The moms got a ride too but luckily Jared was nice to us and didn't make us fly off.
 Life jackets on babies...
Jared is big into wake-surfing and he was nice enough to let each of the kids try it out...with him doing all of the work!  He helped 9 little kids in all and got quite the workout in for the day!  All three of our big kids didn't want to try it out at first (although Aiden did it 2 years ago and loved it) but with a little bribery and coaxing they eventually tried it...even Callie.  Except Callie was more scared of being super close to Jared than wake-surfing :)  The kids are glad we had them try it out because they had a fun time!
Callie's face doesn't hide her emotions well...
That sums up my pictures.  We always have a great time with Jared and Trina.  They are the best hosts!  On the ride home Brennan asked us if we could buy a cabin and boat like Jared and Trina......so I think all the kids had a blast too! :)
