June

June was super busy and packed full of stuff - but all stuff we enjoyed...so it was a great month!  

So Brennan decided he wanted a kayak.  He worked his TAIL off doing "yard sales" and kool-aid stands and scrubbing our kitchen floor and helping a lot around the house to earn some extra money.  He is one determined kid!  And he earned enough money to pay tithing, save some money at the bank, and buy his kayak.  We are so proud of him and his determination.  And we loved getting to enjoy his kayak with him too!

When it came in the mail, the kids were so excited and had to try out the kayak in our living room :) They played in it for hours on a Sunday afternoon so Nate and I could take a nice long nap.  It was awesome.

We went with the Brewers and my parents and Becca (who just returned from London) to Highland Glen to try it out.  It's a great little kayak and it was fun taking turns with it.  

 Our niece Jessica was getting married so I helped throw a little shower for her.  Sadly I didn't get any pictures at the shower but I did get a picture of the cute napkins and chalkboard from it :)

 Aiden had his first piano recital and he did awesome!  Since he's my mom's only student (or he was until Brennan just started a couple of weeks ago), he joined Lori Stark's recital at the Charleston. He's getting so good at the piano and I love listening to him play.

 Callie turned FOUR!  I posted about her a few posts back.

 Callie performed in her dance recital as a little lion and my what a cute little lion she makes!  She did great in her recital and I love watching her dance!

Dave and Diane came in town for Jessica's wedding and they came on June 7th.  June 7th is a big day in the Tadje family because it's Dave's birthday, Erik's birthday, Ike's birthday, AND Callie's birthday!  We celebrated at a park with everyone and it was a great night!

 We went to see Beauty and the Beast one afternoon and it was amazing!  It's fun that the kids are getting old enough to go to the movies and watch the whole thing (well except Graham but we got a babysitter for him during the show)

Jessica and Alex got married!  What a special day to be a part of.  She's the first niece to get married on the Tadje side...and there will be many more with almost 41 grandkids!

 I already posted about Aiden's birthday interview and his party but I haven't posted these pics.  On his birthday morning, Aiden wanted donuts so we tried out Avenue Bakery and the donuts were amazing!  It's really close to our house so we might be in trouble! :)

 

 We went to the zoo one day with my mom and Rayane and kids.  It was a perfect summer outing and we had a great time! And my mom bought a grandparent pass so I'm sure we'll be going a lot more over this next year.

We're sure gonna miss Steve's family when they move to Cali in a month! My kids will have no cousins on the Curtis side left in Utah!

 Nate and I went to the parade of homes on his birthday which I previously posted about.

 One Saturday we tried out the new HUGE splash pad in Bluffdale.  It was an incredible park and splash pad.  The water was freezing but besides that it was awesome.  After playing at the park for a while we went out to eat at Pizza Pie Cafe.

 Ummm..I think our families likes pizza :)

 The last week of June was our Estes Park trip with the Tadjes...which is one post back :)

 July is going to be just as busy but we can't wait!  We love summer time!
