We spent the last week with all of the Tadjes (except for Cam and Jake b/c they couldn't come). That means there were 55 of us! We stayed at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park. It was set up in the Rocky Mountains and it was beautiful! We stayed in a lodge-like hotel room and then had meals provided in the cafeteria. We went on some beautiful hikes, had a campfire one night, swam in the pool (with some VERY strict workers that made it not so relaxing!), made some arts and crafts, played at the playground a few times, Nate went mountain biking, Aiden did archery, we went out for pizza one night (b/c we were sick of the cafeteria food), and played games and visited each night in a huge conference room for everyone. It is so fun to be a part of such a huge family! I have incredible in-laws and we loved getting to be with them all week. And the kids have 36 cousins just on this side so they love it too because there's always someone to play with!
These five were inseparable the whole time! They all got along so great and even coined themselves "the 5 awesome cool kids."
Joe was nice enough to carry Graham for me on one of the hikes because Nate and Jared were off mountain biking.
We took a picture early one morning but sadly we were missing the most important people (Dave & Diane) because they slept in accidentally. So Gary is going to photoshop them in. But here's our big group at the reunion:
On the way home we caught up to Jared & Trina and they kindly offered to take our kids for a ride in their RV. Even though Aiden doesn't look it in the picture (he was glued to the tv), they loved it and it was a highlight of the trip! They rode for about 3 hours and Nate and I were able to have uninterrupted conversation which rarely happens these days. It made the ride home a lot more fun for these kids.
We're so grateful to be a part of the huge Tadje family and we're already looking forward to next year!
