November Happenings in no particular order:
My mom took Callie & Aiden to see Hello Dolly at the Hale Center Theater one Saturday afternoon (Brennan had a basketball game so couldn't go). Callie especially loved it.
No purpose for this picture other than Graham cracks me up! He loves to get a reaction in people and is turning into a little clown.
We put our Thanksgiving Point pass to good use. We especially love the Curiosity Museum. Graham especially loves the ball area by the jungle gym and the pretend vet office.
We love meeting friends there for play dates.
Callie had a playdate with Tagg - her little crush. She pretends she is marrying him all the time. She's only 4 and a little boy crazy already!
Costco lunch date. Gotta love being able to feed the whole fam for pennies.
Grandma Tadje came to town for Lucy's baby blessing and we loved getting to spend time with her! We hung out at a church one night, went shopping at Ikea, had a lunch date with all the women, and got to visit with her. It's hard having them in Colorado so we love when we get to visit!
We got in a car accident one afternoon. I was driving Callie to preschool on 300 N when a 16 year old driver was turning left from Caveman Blvd (where the high school is) and didn't see me and ran straight into me. The left rear of our Odyssey got hit hard. Luckily no one was injured. But it did mean we had a rental van for nearly a month while it was in the body shop. We also had to get new car seats so we went to Wal-Mart one night and got a new one for Graham. But while we were installing it, he climbed into the driver seat and was so proud of himself :)
I attempted to french braid Callie's hair for the first time one night (thanks to YouTube). I need to make it look better but at least I now know how to braid.
We love making cookies on Sundays and delivering them to people. These kids love to help...and eat the dough :)
Nathan and Danae and kids came into town for Thanksgiving. Before we left on our trip to Colorado, we got to spend some time with them. We ate dinner with them one night and the next day we hung out at Coconut Cove and visited while the kids played. They have so much fun together!
I got to tag along on Brennan's field trip to the Utah Symphony and then a pizza restaurant where they got to learn to make pizzas and then had a pizza buffet. I love tagging along on field trips and being with my kids one on one.
We especially loved getting to spend Thanksgiving week in Colorado with G&G Tadje and the Johnstons! We loved getting to visit with them and join in on some of their traditions. We made turkey cookies one night, enjoyed an incredible Thanksgiving dinner, watched Coco in the theaters, made gingerbread houses, enjoyed walks outside in the beautiful weather, went on a hike, and enjoyed time just hanging out.
Carolyn and Grandma hired Brennan to rake all of their pine needles around their house. He worked SO hard outside during all of the free time we had. He is determined to do a good job - especially when it comes to money :) In the end, he earned $102 and is putting it all towards his mission! I am so proud of the hard worker he is!
When we got back to Utah it was Christmas time so we put up our tree and decorations. I love my tree turned out and could stare at it for a long time :)
Aiden is in Shelley Soundz this year and he got to perform 4 times doing their Christmas show. He loves singing and I'm so happy he found something he loves like this. He performed in 2 assemblies, 1 night performance at school, and he got to perform at the Festival of Trees. We loved getting to go hear him sing and Mrs. Davis does an amazing job with Shelley Soundz. We loved getting to walk around and look at all the beautiful trees and the festival after he sung.
BYU tree is the favorite of course!
And this princess tree was a hit for Callie too :)
And now we are full swing into busy and crazy December but we love it and are looking forward to Christmas in just 12 days!
