October 2017

We started off October right with General Conference. There's nothing like being inspired by our church leaders.  My mom was front and center singing with the MOTAB this year so I got lots of text pics like this pointing out Aiden and Brennan's grandma :)
I got to go on a weekend girls trip with the Tadje women to Time Out for Women.  It was so fun to spend quality time with the amazing women in the Tadje family (Trina was the only one that couldn't make it and she was missed!) We flew to Colorado on Thursday and stayed until Saturday night.  We had a great time staying at Carolyn's house, visiting all together and with Dave & Diane, eating yummy food, going on a long walk, and being uplifted at with the speakers and music at Time Out for Women.  I hope we do something like this again!
I got a text from Nate while I was there about how good he is at doing Callie's hair.  Nate doesn't even know how to do a ponytail so I was impressed!  Until I learned he sent Callie down to Alison's house to get some help :)
Callie got to go on a field trip to the fire station and both kids had fun learning about fire safety and the trucks and ambulances.
We met Nate for lunch afterwards.  We love lunch dates with daddy. Also I had to snap a picture because Callie and Nate had matching blue pinstripes :)
 Gotta love tramp hair!
Flag football has ruled our life for September and October.  Two games a week for each boy (so four games a week!) has kept us busy.  They LOVE flag football and practice all the time and had so much fun this season. Nate coached Aiden's team.  Both boys had lots of friends on their team.  And they both have become such great players so it's really fun to watch.  It's always bittersweet when the season comes to an end - Bitter that their favorite sport is over but sweet because we get our weeknights back :)
One game Brennan's teacher Mrs. Cummings came to support some of her students on the team (Brennan, Briggs, Owen, and Quinn)
Graham and Callie and I always had a good time cheering them on
We had a fun double date with the Brewers - dinner and bowling.  And the losing couple had to buy the other couple dessert so Nate and I (thanks to Nate!) won and got free ice cream.  We always love hanging out with them.
The funniest part of the night was Nate tried to do a crazy trick bowling and run and slide on the floor and push the ball down the lane...well he did that plus ripping his pants in two HUGE spots.  We were laughing so hard and he had to tie his jacket around his waist for the rest of the night :)
We went to Hee Haws with my mom and had a great time!  We love that place - the kids especially love the huge slide and the corn pit.
Graham loved being close to the animals...but not TOO close.
We went to dinner at Rich & Kamilla's out in Grantsville one night and we loved getting to visit with them.  And the kids loved having fun on all their toys.  Nate took the three younger kids and me each on a ride on the dirt bike.  The kids were in heaven!
Brennan's sweet paper about Nate - definitely worth keeping!
Brennan once again this year has become a raking machine.  He loves earning money so he rakes in a lot of his free time.  Grandpa and Grandma even hired him and he was so excited about that. He works really hard and does a good job and takes his work seriously.  The kid is one of the hardest workers I know and we are so proud of his determination and work ethic!
The month ended though with my first car crash in my entire life...and it wasn't my fault at all!  I was taking Callie to preschool and driving on 300 N when a teenager pulled off of Caveman Blvd (where the high school is) and turned left into the back end of the van.  She simply didn't see my car driving along the road.  Luckily no one was injured but the car sure has a lot of damage!  We are still waiting for it to get fixed but hopefully the body shop can repair the van completely soon so we don't have to drive around a car with the bumper hanging off.
