June happenings

We celebrated the kids ending a great year of school by going out to The Pizza Factory one night.
Callie loves to model the clothes I make her.  She wears that dress well!
Grandma Tadje was in town to babysit Samantha's kids and we loved getting to spend a lot of time with her.  We did a lot of activities with them and kid swaps and it was sure fun to spend a lot of time with family. She had Madelyn with her too so Aiden got to play with her and Lydia a lot.
We celebrated this cute girl's birthday which I previously posted about
My parents treated the kids to a fun day at the Cedar Hills Festival.  They had water games and bounce houses and then the kids stayed for the outdoor movie and then had a sleepover with grandma and grandpa.  They are lucky kids!
Aiden went to Webelos camp and Brennan went to Wolf camp and they both loved it!  They did archery, and bb guns, and all the usual camp stuff.
We celebrated the 3 June birthdays with our extended Blackham family.  June is one big party for us with 3 birthdays.
The boys love basketball and Brennan wanted a cool "dunking" picture for his fitbit profile :)  He loves getting lots of "steps" each day and setting up fit bit challenges with his cousins and family.  He is one competitive boy!
Aiden plays with Legos during most of his free time - usually at the kitchen table.  I had to take a picture to remember how obsessed he is with all things Legos.  I'm glad it's a good obsession!
We hiked Timp Cave with my parents (Graham stayed home with a babysitter).  It was my first time along with the 3 big kids and it was so cool.  We liked it so much we're going back in a couple weeks with some more family members.
We took family pictures and trying to coordiate outfits is always a little stressful!  They turned out cute and I'm glad it's over!
Callie graduated from UPSTART.  She learned so much on that computer program and she is so ready for kindergarten!
Aiden turned TEN!  We had a fun pool party and he got more Legos of course.  I posted about that in my last post.
The weekend before Nate's birthday we went camping up to the Spruces with the Brewers.  We love camping and being outdoors.  It was beautiful there and we enjoyed being at a new campsite. We hiked Donuts Falls, played games, watched the chipmunks, and went on the "Vampire Sheep" hike the Brewers put on.  Except for the fact that Graham did not sleep at all that first night camping, we had a great weekend camping with friends.
The 2nd night there Aiden slept in a hammock and Paige slept in a hammock outside too.  I was so proud of Aiden for being so brave doing that!  It started raining at 4am so they went in the Brewers camper but before then they slept great before that.  The next morning we found out there was a big moose roaming the campground.  We're sure happy the moose didn't find those two kids!
Aaron & Samantha came up for part of Saturday too which was fun.
Graham slept great the 2nd night...making up for all the sleep he didn't do on the first night.
The Sunday morning we got back from camping we headed to church and then celebrated Nate because it was his 33rd birthday AND Fathers day.  We made a candy poster like usual and he got some biking things too.  These kids are so lucky to have such a fun and loving dad!  Nate's the best and we had a great day celebrating him!
Cherry Cream Cheese Pie for the win :)
Callie got her kindergarten shots and was a champ!  She wasn't nervous at all and when she was poked she didn't cry at all!  I told Aiden and Brennan their little sister was a lot tougher than they were :)
When Nate worked late one night, the kids and I went to the Gardens at Thanksgiving Point and then out for ice cream at JCWs where Nate met us after work.
This girl is always on her bike!  Ever since her training wheels came off she's been in heaven zipping all over our cul-de-sac.
The kids and I go to the Cinemark Summer movie club for kids and have a great time hanging out in the recliner chairs every Wednesday morning.  Lots of friends have tickets so it's extra fun!  We go with Samantha, Alison, Krystle Larsen, Amanda Lemmon, and some other ward friends.
We went to the Air Show with some friends and had a great time there.  The Thunderbirds are always a treat at the end of the show! Graham especially loved all the airplanes and kept yelling, "Mommy, Mommy, wook...airplane!" Over and over.  It was the cutest thing!
Brennan loves making money and this summer he has had a lemonade stand about twice a week every week so far.  The first time he had a sale he made $25 so he's wanted to do it every day since.  So he's done it again often and each time he is making less and less money. We tell him our neighbors probably only like to have lemonade every few days and not every day. They may be getting sick of frequent lemonade stands. :)
We were invited by the Cartwrights to go to Mutual Dell for dinner and games.  It was just a few families from our ward and it was a beautiful night up there.  We love our ward family and always have a good time with them.  The kids clearly do too.  We played Kan-Jam and it was so fun so we want to buy it now. And the kids played volleyball, football, and all sorts of games outside.
My parents have been gone for 2 weeks on the MOTAB tour so we have taken care of their yard.  I've really enjoyed taking care of their garden and the kids have learned to do some good yard work too.  Brennan loves to rake so of course that was the chore he called dibs on first.
And just like that the first month of summer is over!
